As a child, we are often asked what we want to be when we grow up, and our little minds create an image of what seems like another world. The world of "up". Well, here I am, stampeding through the World of Up, trying my hand at many different things. From horse training to metal work to landscape design and everything in between, you will find that all of my endeavors have one common thread: improve upon what lies before me.

Growing up a creative child presents many difficulties when transitioning into the world of adulthood. Society has its own ideas of what success is, and the traditional steps you should take to get there. Having always been one to take the scenic route, I pursued many different paths looking for the one that would lead me to the "success" that society told me that I needed to achieve. My winding road led me to Purdue, where I stumbled upon Landscape Architecture. I quickly fell in love with both the artistic and technical aspects of the profession, and knew that I had found my calling.
While at Purdue, I was introduced to the idea that art is not just what you see in a gallery. In fact, the world became my gallery. I began applying my creativity to the outdoors, creating landscapes that would break the mold of traditional design. Since then, I have continued to expand my horizons and push the limits of functional creativity. If status quo is what you're looking for, you came to the wrong place. My mind is constantly searching for new and better ways to do things. Fear of failure has no place in my work. In the words of Nelson Mandela, "I never lose. I either win or I learn."
